Now that the secret’s out, I want to document the prepping to sell process. I probably don’t need to do any of this, but I want to get this house in the best shape of her life to get the most money possible out of her.

A little paint goes a long way, but with all the poking and prodding I’ve done around this house, the least I can do is clean up my mess. So that’s what I’ll be doing in the coming months.

All of these are pretty simple projects. No more tearing down walls or anything. Just fun finishers to make a space *complete* so naturally they are all very unnatural for me. It’s hard to close out on a project and that’s why this list exists!

Phew. You ready?

In the kitchen:

  • backsplash
  • Baseboards
  • Fridge cabinet
  • Coffee cabinet
  • Hidden pantry/laundry
  • replace floating shelves

In the bathroom:

  • Paint
  • New floating shelves
  • Hardware
  • New vent
  • Recaulk

In the sunroom:

  • Windowsills
  • Paint
  • Trim double doors
  • Add last doorknob to doors
  • Replace window unit

In the hallway:

  • Prime and paint doors
  • Add trim detail to doors
  • Replace ceiling light
  • Replace half cabinet handle

In my bedroom:

  • Coat of paint
  • Rework shoe shelves
  • Patch closet drywall
  • prime closet
  • paint closet
  • Replace baseboards
  • Build bi-fold closet doors

In the office

  • Replace baseboards
  • Add shelf to closet
  • Paint closet
  • Add bi-fold closet door from kitchen

In baby girl’s room

  • Paint
  • Build/buy bi-fold closet doors
  • Complete baseboards

In the laundry room:

  • Build upper cabinets
  • Build cabinet doors (6)
  • Move outlet
  • Cover linoleum floor
